The Surroundings Ben Ledi

Kilmahog lies a mile north of Callander at Kilmahog at the mouth of the historic Pass of Leny, and under the shelter of Ben Ledi.

To one side of the cottage it is the disused railway track which is now a long distance footpath and cycleway.

To the other side is the River Leny which flows parallel to the old railway track.

A a short distance away salmon may be seen leaping up the falls of Leny.

The Falls of LenyDeer are frequently seen in the garden, and much wild life may be observed by the river.

Nearby are some of the most beautiful walks and mountain climbs in Scotland with magnificent views.

We have private fishing rights in the River, and there is also good fishing in the lochs nearby.
