This delightful first floor studio apartment is situated within the peaceful village of Brig O' Turk, which nestles in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. West Riding Apartment's open plan living space has all you will need and it is wonderful and light area due to the four large velux windows, alternatively black out blinds can shut out unwanted light on early mornings!

There is a large sofa bed, hanging space, breakfast bar area and fully fitted kitchen.

You have full use of the owners' large grassy garden, where you can enjoy the sun passing over the Menteith Hills and watch the wild sheep strolling by.

This quiet village is located between Loch Achray and Loch Venachar, where boat hire is available, and provides great all year round fishing or water activities. This area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with many places to explore. You can hire bicycles at Loch Katrine, sail on the steamship "Sir Walter Scott" to the top of the Loch and then walk or cycle back. Or there is a fantastic circular route round Glen Finglas (staring from Brig O'Turk), which can be also cycled or walked.

There is numerous forestry marked pathways within the Queen Elizabeth Forest. Drive over the Duke's Pass and count the number of bends in the road! And then return via the 3 Lochs Forest Drive. The Trossachs has fantastic mountains to climb - Benn A'an, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi to name but a few. There is also an abundance of wildlife from Osprey to red squirrel, wild goats and pine martens, so don't forget your binoculars!

Ideally situated to explore Callander (6 miles) or Aberfoyle (9 miles) and you are only half an hour drive from Stirling where you can explore historical places of interest or do a spot of retail therapy.

The Trossachs

The Trossachs is indeed one of the most scenic parts of Scotland with high mountains and rugged glens a-plenty.

Brig o’ Turk is in the heart of the Trossachs, lying between the waters of Loch Venachar and Loch Achray.

Centrally located in Scotland's National Park we are ideally situated for walking, fishing, cycling and discovering the magnificent scenery

Things to Do

Visit the historic village of Balquhidder surely one of Scotland's most picturesque glens and last resting place of Rob Roy MacGregor – hero or villain ?
For a different perspective of the landscape why not enjoy a leisurely sail on the steamer Sir Walter Scott and its little sister 'Ellen's Isle' both of which sail daily on nearby beautiful Loch Katrine.
Alternatively, for those who enjoy shopping, historic buildings and city life, Stirling , Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy reach .
Scotland's diverse cuisine is reflected in the many eating places locally from pubs to restaurants, something to suit all tastes and price bands. We have two excellent eating places in the village serving Scottish fare.
Pop in to a local woollen mill and see for yourself ancient looms weaving tartans for today's market and take home a souvenir.
For the more discerning there are lots of whisky distilleries which explain how the "Water of Life" itself is created, sample some whilst you visit and pick up a bottle or two, its bound to be a hit with your friends back home.
