B&B Scotland at Arden House in
Callander
with Full Scottish Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast in Scotland at Arden House is situated in one of the
finest positions in Callander, standing peacefully in its own attractive gardens
overlooking the village, with marvellous panoramic views of nearby Ben Ledi and the
surrounding countryside and hills. Only a
few minutes walk from the centre of the village, Arden House has ample parking space in
its own grounds.
The house itself is a large Victorian stonebuilt house, with attractive parkland to one
side and woods at the rear. All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, central-heating,
colour television, radio, a tea and coffee-making tray and other thoughtful extras. Our
rooms have been individually refurbished using superior quality fabrics and furnishings.
Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, as is the comfortable sitting room. We regret
that Arden House is not suitable for pets or children under 14 years of age and, for the
comfort of all house guests, it is a non-smoking residence.
Callander is known world-wide as Tannochbrae," made famous by the BBC TV
series "Dr. Finlays Casebook," and Arden House was the television home of
Drs. Finlay and Cameron and their housekeeper Janet.
Activities in the area include visits to local lochs, with cruises on Loch Lomond and
Loch Katrine, historic castles, whisky distilleries and woollen mills and a wide variety
of sports such as forest and hill walking, golf, pony-trekking, biking, salmon and trout
fishing, and sailing, canoeing and windsurflng on the nearby lochs. Arden House is also
just two minutes walk from the first tee of Callanders 18-hole golf course, one of
more than a dozen courses in the area.
A full description of the area and the activities and outings from Callander may be
