About The Boathouse
Situated on the banks of Lochearn, in the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, The Boathouse is a stunning family home surrounded by picturesque mountains, lochs, castles, golf courses and villages. The Boathouse occupies a unique position directly beside the loch, with its own jetty, moorings and fishing rights allowing you to water-ski, fish, sail and canoe from the door.
There is a drying area with 2 clothes hoists & undercover drying area for wet clothes, wet-suits etc.
2 decked patio areas with table and chairs provide a very pleasant sitting area from which you can enjoy the panoramic views to the mountains opposite.
Attractions nearby:
- Fishing, can be by boat or from the loch shore
- Local restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance offering great food, live music in high season and a good yarn with the locals
- A major water-sports centre is close by and offers water-skiing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing
- For the walking enthusiast Ben Vorlich is close by, Ben More lies to the North, Ben Ledi to the south, Ben Lawers, Stob Binnein, Ben Lui and Ben Challum are just a short journey away
- Stunning sections of The National Cycle Route 7 passes by Lochearnhead and cycle hire is available locally
Deer Stalking and shooting can be arranged
- Golf courses can be found in the villages of St Fillans (9) and Killin (9) and also in Callander (18) and Comrie (9)
- Day trips will allow you to take in the breath-taking scenery of Glencoe (40mins), Pitlochry (60 mins), Oban & the Isles (50mins) and the shopping of Glasgow and Edinburgh (60+ mins)
Facilities:
- On the ground floor an extensive new Lochside deck area offers a superb social space, with access from the lounge via stunning, fully retractable french-doors.
- A large open-plan living/dining area, with wood burning stove, is the social hub of the house.
- A newly refurbished kitchen with all new appliances is open plan to the living and dining area. There is a big family bathroom with shower and large corner bath.
- On the 2nd floor is the master bedroom with its own private sitting area in front of a huge picture window. There is a separate toilet & shower room.
- A large twin bedroom with en-suite is also located on the 2nd floor.
- The attic room on the 3rd floor has a double bed and double bed-settee. It also features its own private entrance, television and other facilities.
- No Smoking
- No jet-skis or wet-bikes
- Pets by arrangement
WARNINGS:
Because the garden, driveway and patio areas are open to the Loch children must be supervised at all times
We ask that you take care if using disposable barbeques to ensure no damage is caused to the deck areas

Please note ! If you intend using your boat on the Loch - proof of a current boat insurance will be required.
