The Bridgend House, a Trossachs Hotel in Callander.

The Location

The Hotel is in the original and oldest part of Callander in Bridgend where there once was a ferry before the original bridge was built after the 1745 Jacobite rising. Situated beside the River Teith the gardens overlook the Callander meadows and enjoy magnificent views towards Ben Ledi and the Pass of Leny in the Scottish Highlands.

Smoking and pets are not allowed in the bedrooms, but are welcome in the bar and in the large beer garden.

Whilst the hotel is peaceful during the week and is in a normally quiet situation, you should be aware that, at weekends during the season, we have lively weekends with live entertainment in the bar at the front of the building on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

The hotel gardens enjoy magnificent views towards Ben Ledi, and are full of colour in late Spring and Summer. They provide a beautiful spot in which to relax on a warm sunny day. Drinks and light snacks are also served in the garden.

The Bridgend is family run and prides itself on providing personal, friendly service in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Open all year round, the hotel welcomes families and children.

Food and Drink

The cosy lounge bar with its ‘olde worlde’ charm is a spot for all the family, and in addition to offering bar meals and snacks has a range of favourite treats in a special children’s menu.
