Try a cruise on Loch Katrine on the SS Sir Walter Scott - the 100 year old steamer which has been sailing Loch Katrine since it was built on the Clyde and dragged overland to Loch Katrine. The steamer sails from Trossachs Pier to Stronachlacher near Inversnaid and back whilst in the afternoons there are shorter circular cruises.

'Trossachs Trundler'

The Trossachs Trundler is a summer bus service to the Trossachs which links the  resorts of Callander and Aberfoyle.
It also calls at Loch Katrine, where it is timed to connect with the sailings of the steamer 'Sir Walter Scott.'
Operates twice a day 6 days a week and is fully wheelchair accessible and fitted with a bike rack for two bikes. Reasonable luggage space is available for rucksacks.
The Trundler follows a circular route: Callander, Kilmahog, Brig o'Turk, Trossachs steamer pier, Forest Park Centre, Aberfoyle, Port of Menteith, Callander.

First Group and Morrison's
Callander, Doune & Stirling.
First Group do most daytime services, reduced service Saturday & none on Sunday.
Morrison's operate additional early and late services and a 2 hourly service on Sundays

Citylink operate a long distance service from Edinburgh to Fort William via Callander and Tyndrum.

Trossachs Trundler 2009 timetable

(Runs May 25th - October 11th 2009)

The Trossachs Trundler provides a public transport service between Callander and Aberfoyle in a circular route via The Duke's Pass and Port of Menteith. The service leaves Stirling for Callander in the morning and only returns to Stirling in the evening but completes 4 circular trips daily with times coinciding with the SS Sir Walter Scott sailings.

A perfect day out in the heart of the National Park!

The Trossachs Trundler summer bus service allows you to relax and explore the Trossachs without your car. It links the gateway resorts of Callander and Aberfoyle and takes in some breathtaking scenery and popular attractions in the stunning Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.

The circular route with a flexible jump on jump off service gives access to a wide range of fantastic walks, bike trips and attractions. The trundler stops on request, so you can get on or off at any point along the route. The bus is fully wheelchair accessible, can carry up to two bikes and has space for rucksacks.

Trossachs Day Rover – fantastic value only £5.10 adults and £2.10 for children. Family Ticket £12. 30 for two adults and up to four children.
Daily service EXCEPT WEDNESDAYS. You can buy your tickets on the Trossachs Trundler bus or at Stirling Bus station.
