  • The Falls of Dochart
  • The MacNab Burial ground
  • The Visitor Centre

Continue through Killin and follow the signposts to Aberfeldy for about 12 scenic miles. Watch for evidence of crofting communities closed by the highland clearances. Just before Kenmore take a left turn to 'Dull'.

About 1½miles later watch for a ruined castle (Comrie Castle) on the right in a private garden just before the river crossing.

At the T junction turn right and continue to Aberfeldy and passing on route:

  • Menzies Castle
  • Weem village
  • The Mausoleum of the Clan Menzies

  • The Birks o' Aberfeldy
  • The Working watermill
  • General Wades military bridge o'er the Tay

At Aberfeldy turn back west towards Kenmore, but this time on the south (Aberfeldy) side of the river. Continue towards Kenmore, and as Loch Tay comes into view watch for:

  • The waterfall on the left at the little bridge by the old pill box gun emplacement
  • Taymouth Castle on the right

wadebridge.gif (11536 bytes)At the foot of the hill do not follow the main road into Kenmore, instead take the little road to the left on the south side of Loch Tay, signposted 'Ardeonaig'.

A watersport centre is co-sited with the 'Crannog' exhibition half a mile west from Kenmore on the south side of Loch Tay.

Follow this unclassified road now for about 12 miles back to Killin, passing on the way:

  • The replica Crannog at Acharnwpe1.jpg (31078 bytes)
  • Ardtalnaig village
  • The remains of the copper mines on the left before Ardeonaig
  • The old church at Ardeonaig
  • The castle ruins by the loch at Ardeonaig
  • Kinnel house (Clan MacNab) on the right just before Killin T junction

Turn left here and return to Callander the way you came.
