Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park

The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park includes about 720 square miles of some of the best scenery and wildlife in Scotland. It boasts 20 Munros (mountains over 3000 ft), 22 large lochs and 50 rivers and streams. In the west, Ben Lomond towers over its namesake, Loch Lomond - the largest expanse of freshwater in the uk. The east side of the park around Callander, the lochs and forests is a joy for those who enjoy the peace and scenery of Loch Katrine and smaller lochs, forests and rivers. The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park stretches from Loch Ard in the west, through the Trossachs to Loch Lubnaig in the east and offers a fantastic variety of walks and cycleways. Within the National Park you can enjoy walking, cycling, abseiling, fishing, pony trekking and rock-climbing. The West Highland Way - a long distance footpath cuts through the Trossachs National park on its way to Fort William.
