Breakfast

You won't go away hungry from the Inn & Bistro at Strathyre! We pride ourselves on our HUGE traditional Scottish breakfast - but if you prefer you have the choice of a vegetarian breakfast or other lighter options.

Activities

The Callander to GlenDochart cycleway passes through the village on its way north via Balquhidder and Lochearnhead. Excellent level cycling or walking. The many local hills and mountains offer a wide range of walks and rambles for all abilities. Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn and Loch Venacher all provide good fishing and there is a water sports centre at Lochearnhead.
Loch Katrine, just half an hour away by car, is the home of the famous pleasure steamer SS Sir Walter Scott which sails 4 or 5 times a day during the visitor season.
For those wishing to explore Scotland, you can easily drive to most popular Scottish tourist destinations and return the same day.

Callander with its local shops, woollen mills and souvenir shops is just 10 minutes away by car, but you might take a little longer as the many viewpoints by the road may cause you to linger a little!
