How to Find Us

You'll find us just a mile from Callander, at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands on the junction of the A84 and the A81 only one hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow. Or just take a stroll or cycle along National Route 7 for 30mins from Callander town centre and be rewarded with one of our delicious, hearty meals or exclusive hand pulled real ales.

Fresh & Locally Sourced food

At the Lade Inn we are very passionate about great food, beers and wines with excellent service to make your visit a memorable one.

Fresh and local is what we are about; our Head Chef Stephen Park uses the best locally sourced ingredients, whether that is our handmade Pure Bred Highland Beef burgers from Barker's, fresh trout from the Trossach's Trout farm or our local malt whisky from Deanston, Distillery to give you an authentic taste of Scotland."

Real Ales Exclusive to the Lade Inn

We are currently refurbishing our Microbrewery to be more efficient for small scale brewing and environment friendly in line with our company philosophy. However our beers are still available at the Lade by the cask and are due to be bottled for May this year.

Our House Real Ales
We've created three delicious real ales from organic ingredients to sell exclusively as our house beer at the Lade Inn.

  • WayLade'"' (abv 3.9%)- a good flavoured, creamy, blonde bitter with a malty,
fruity nose and lightly hopped after taste.
  • LadeBack T"' (abv 4.5%)- a rounded slightly sweeter, refreshing amber ale
that is well balanced with a hop dominated dry finish.
  • LadeOut T"' (abv 5.1%)- a robust and satisfying dark ale with a complex flavour
of liquorice and dark chocolate, that is rewarding on the palate.

Live Music & Special Events

Music is food for the Soul and we are proud to keep traditional talent thriving with our live folk music every Friday and Saturday night at the Lade. You can pick out some tunes from our song books and sing along with one of our blands or just sit back and be entertained. We hold these Ceilidhs in our cosy Bothy Bar every Saturday starting around 8.30- 11.30pmish, but get in early as it can be busy. To see more about our bands please visit our website.

This year we are also holding an Amateur band night, our very own beer & music festival and are part of the Callander Jazz Festival- Jazz Up the Trossachs.

To keep things interesting for you throughout the year we have a number of special ,_eve_nts from Christmas & H.Qgma_ndy Celebrations, Valentine's Dinner, Breakfast, Birds & Beer Nature Walks, Mothers' Day to Gourmet Food & Wine Evenings.

Recommended by our Customers & Quality Publications

"I wanted to thank you and everybody at The Lade Inn for providing my wife and I with some outstanding hospitality whilst we were staying in Callander a few weeks ago. We thoroughly enjoyed the three visits we made to you and the meal we had in the restaurant on our last night was fantastic. Each course was a 5 Star one, so please give our compliments to the Chef, and the service was excellent ...... Drawn to the Lade Inn initially by the entry in The Good Beer Guide it was a real bonus to find such a high quality establishment within walking distance of our accommodation. It made what would have been a good holiday, an excellent one. Many thanks again for helping to make our visit a memorable one."
