The Old BankThe building was first used as a bank about 1882 by the Commercial Bank, which later became the National Commercial Bank - 'the Nat Com'. In 1956 it was sold to the Royal Bank of Scotland who used it as a bank before selling it once more when it became the Sorrisdale Hotel. This later became the 'Royal Hotel' until 2003 when it was bought by Sam & Marion who re-opened it in its present form - The Old Bank Restaurant - in a way retaining its historical association. |
