Tarmachan Mountaineering is a small company specialising in mountain walking holidays and mountain skills courses, based in the beautiful   Highland village of Killin within The Loch Lomond National Park, Scotland.
 
We offer days out in the mountains to suit individuals's needs and dates that are flexible, as we understand that set dates and itinarary's don't always meet with your free time. We also have a small instructor to group ratio on all our holidays and courses which gives that personal touch as well as a more benefical nature for learning.
 
Gary Hodgson as been running the company for several years and is a fully qualified Summer and Winter Mountain Leader aswell as holding The International Mountain Leader Award for holidays in Europe.
He as been leading and instructing groups in the mountains of Scotland since 2000 and as lived in various locations in the Highlands for 13 years.

Gary is an enthusiastic and passionate lover of the hills and a keen lover of the wildlife and flora of mountainous regions.
 
During busy periods we have a small team of fully qualified and experienced leaders/instructors to help run courses.
